MATTHEW
12:3
But he said to them, "Haven't you read what David did, when he was
hungry, and those who were with him; 12:4 how he entered into the house of
God, and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for
those who were with him, but only for the priests?* 12:5 Or have you not read
in the law, that on the Sabbath day, the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath,
and are guiltless? 12:6 But I tell you that one greater than the temple is
here. 12:7 But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not
sacrifice,'** you would not have condemned the guiltless. 12:8 For the Son of
Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
12:9
He departed there, and went into their synagogue. 12:10 And behold there was a man with a withered
hand. They asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?"
that they might accuse him. 12:11 He said to them, "What man is there among you, who
has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won't he
grab on to it, and lift it out? 12:12 Of how much more value then is a man than a
sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day." 12:13 Then he told the
man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out; and it was
restored whole, just like the other. 12:14 But the Pharisees went out, and conspired
against him, how they might destroy him.

MARK
2:25 He said to them,
"Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry—he,
and those who were with him? 2:26 How he entered into the house of God when Abiathar was
high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for
the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?"
2:27 He said to them,
"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 2:28 Therefore the Son of
Man is lord even of the Sabbath."
3:1
He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his
hand withered. 3:2 They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath
day, that they might accuse him. 3:3 He said to the man who had his hand
withered, "Stand up." 3:4 He said to them, "Is it lawful on
the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?"
But they were silent. 3:5 When he had looked around at them with anger, being
grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch
out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as
healthy as the other. 3:6 The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired
with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

6:3
Jesus, answering them, said, "Haven't you read what David did when he
was hungry, he, and those who were with him; 6:4 how he entered into the
house of God, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who
were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?"
6:5
He said to them, "The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."
6:6
It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and
taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered. 6:7 The
scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the
Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him. 6:8 But he knew
their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Rise
up, and stand in the middle." He arose and stood. 6:9 Then Jesus said to
them, "I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good,
or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?" 6:10 He looked around at them all, and
said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was
restored as sound as the other. 6:11 But they were filled with rage, and talked
with one another
